Job Summary Registered Nurse (RN) - Pulmonary Services The Registered Nurse (RN) practices within the scope of care defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. Provides age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered nursing care to patients with pulmonary and respiratory conditions while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. Assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care across the continuum, promoting optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care. The Pulmonary RN collaborates with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Responsible for performing patient assessments, monitoring clinical status, assisting with pulmonary procedures, supporting moderate sedation practices when applicable, and recognizing changes in patient condition requiring immediate intervention. Provides education to patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment plans, medications, and healthy lifestyle practices while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and utilizing healthcare technology to support quality care delivery.
