Quality Assurance Technician - 3 to 6 Month Contract

Requirements

• University/Bachelor/Diploma of Food Science & chemical or Equivalent
• Minimum one year of related experience, preferably in the meat industry
• Basic knowledge of CFIA SFCR, GFSI (BRC) requirements
• Attention to detail with good time management skill
• Good communication skill (verbal and writing)
• Good analytical skill and be able to take appropriate immediate actions to ensure food safety is not compromised
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Flexible to work shifts and overtime

Role: Quality Control Technician is responsible for evaluating and assessing that HACCP and Quality Assurance Programs are properly maintained in compliance with regulatory guidelines though auditing/inspection, product quality control, data entry and reporting findings and data collected to verify compliance or to identify a need for corrective action. In addition the Quality Control Technician will provide support to Operations with the objective of meeting food safety requirements efficiently.
