This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Office of the Deputy CIO, IT and Security Operations. As an IT Specialist (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN)(SENIOR IT SPECIALIST (SECURITY / POLICY PLANNING), you will be coordinating and facilitating enterprise-wide projects or initiatives for the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with third-party service providers. You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience for the GS-13, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Performing the full scope of end-to-end IT project management to support current and future IT systems to meet the needs of the organization and users of such systems. Examples of such experience could include: Applying project management principles, methods, and practices including developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and using data analytics in evaluating and reporting on accomplishments, risks, and issues; OR Ensuring that IT investments and projects are compliant with the Federal-wide Clinger Cohen Act, Federal IT Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA) and Treasury-Wide Capital Investment Policy, or similar private sector regulations/requirements, OR Performing audits, assessments, and evaluations of IT programs and projects to measure and evaluate IT systems and performance and/or capital planning. OR Developing, implementing, and maintaining information security policies, procedures, and standards that align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. OR Conducting regular risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies. Monitor and report on risk levels and compliance status. OR Maintaining comprehensive records of security policies, incidents, assessments, and system configurations. OR Coordinating regular vulnerability scans, patch management, and remediation efforts to address system weaknesses. In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing procedures and conscientious about attention to detail when providing support independently. Customer Service - Providing technical advice and assistance in areas of IT systems development, coding, systems design, and disposition. Oral Communication - Provides technical information to individuals or groups effectively. Considers the audience and nature of the information being presented for work group effectiveness.
