Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities

• Participates in the maintenance of parks and public grounds by carrying out a variety of manual labor tasks alongside other maintenance staff.
• Supports various park facilities and equipment with activities such as mowing, planting, tree trimming, and other grounds maintenance; utilizes equipment, tools and machinery, including motorized vehicles for transportation between locations under direction from senior staff.
• Contributes to a safe worksite and public environment through adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
• Participates in housekeeping duties that include cleanup and maintenance of grounds and equipment; performs on-call duties and works overtime as required, including work supporting special events and snow removal.

Requirements

• Experience : P revious maintenance experience is preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Education: A h igh s chool d iploma or equivalent is preferred .
• Licenses & Certificat ion s : A valid driver's license and favorable driving record are required .
