Our Project Executives/Business Group Leaders oversee multiple projects simultaneously and are responsible for building and mentoring top-performing teams while ensuring successful project execution from preconstruction through closeout. About Path Construction Path Construction is a national general contractor headquartered in Arlington Heights, IL, with projects and offices throughout the country. Founded in 2008, Path provides a wide range of construction services across diverse sectors, including healthcare, higher education, multifamily, hospitality, retail, self-storage, senior living, transportation, water and wastewater treatment, convention centers, laboratories, correctional, and institutional projects. Duties for Project Executive/Business Group Leaders include : - Lead multiple project teams to deliver successful, safe, and profitable projects - Oversee preconstruction activities, including subcontractor prequalification, estimating, value engineering, and preconstruction meetings - Establish project budgets and maintain accountability for project financial performance, including profit and loss - Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks - Oversee project schedules from preconstruction through closeout - Manage project claims and dispute resolution - Review design documents to verify scope completeness, identify cost impacts, and resolve design conflicts - Prepare, track, and distribute preconstruction RFIs to address missing information and clarify scope - Oversee the procurement process, including subcontract and purchase order issuance - Ensure effective project controls related to safety, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability - Develop, mentor, and lead high-performing project teams - Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while pursuing new business opportunities through networking and business development efforts - 10+ + years of commercial construction management experience, including leadership of multiple projects and teams - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred - Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, cost controls, budgeting, and financial reporting - OSHA safety experience with a demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety - Proven experience delivering projects across multiple asset classes - Extensive preconstruction experience, including estimating, value engineering, and procurement - Expert understanding of building systems, construction methods, and assemblies. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software, including Procore, Sage, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project - Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills - Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and a desire to help grow the business and mentor others We Offer: - Annual Salary Range: $150,000 - $210,000 - Bonus Plan - 401(k) - PTO - Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Long-Term and Short-Term Disability Insurance - Company cellphone and computer
