About the role
PRINCIPAL MANAGER Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with existing principals (strategic, core and potential), enhancing collaboration and mutual business growth by ensuring excellent communication, alignment on objectives and the resolution of any issues by applying appropriate principal management practices Lead the pitching process of new suppliers in close collaboration with market management and in line with Global steering; be accountable for distribution contracts and enable product management to onboard new principal and product portfolio Negotiate supply agreements, principal goals and terms of business in alignment with corporate objectives and overall business strategy; all objectives to be approved by the Regional President Identify and lead portfolio and territory extensions in collaboration with market management and sales team, with assigned prospects or principals Work closely with principals to ensure an optimized, competitive, and innovative product portfolio Guide regional / local business managers and products managers to ensure alignment between principal goals and regional market strategies Collaborate with technical, marketing, and sales teams to provide product knowledge, market insights, and competitive positioning Monitor the financial performance of the principal portoflio, including revenue growth, profitability and margin enhancement Lead and manage the monthly and/or quarterly reporting using the digital tools at disposal; ensure the onboarding of key principals on SRM platform. Objective is to limit involvement of commercial teams Identify potential risks in the supply chain and work proactively with internal teams and principals to mitigate risks Responsible of the product stewardship (setup articles in SAP, complaint management, compliance and documentation) MARKET MANAGER Develop a product strategy roadmap and propose portfolio improvements (products, product groups, suppliers, territories) to BU-Leadership team Identify and prioritze targets (suppliers) for portfolio improvement in line with global strategy and steering Support the supplier pitching process led by the principal management and product management teams Capture the overall market, considering e.g size, target customers, competitors Create benchmarks of the existing portfolio with competitor portfolio Build a market intelligence database in collaboration with Pharma Insights team to map competition, suppliers and services Identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities within the product portfolio Propose trends as key driver for innovation in our application labs translate them and use market intelligence into sales actions / guidance Create a marketing strategy for products, solutions and services by developing a marketing plan and prioritize the most valuable market opportunities (what, where, when, how approach) Participate to the Brand and communication positioning for the business unit Job Requirement/Specification: Bachelor / master's degree in related field. Possesses a valid Pharmacist License will be an added advantage Minimum 10 years in supplier management, technical sales or business development with R&D or formulator background. APAC regional experience and experience in distribution will be highly advantageous.
