Cloud Platform Engineering Manager Barcelona, Spain - Full Time - Hybrid About Keonn Keonn is a manufacturer of RFID hardware and software products for different sectors, like retail, healthcare, libraries, industry and logistics among others. We provide RFID systems mainly for the retail and healthcare sectors, as well as RFID UHF components for any industry. Keonn's team is comprised of experienced engineers and PhDs with deep knowledge in fields like radiofrequency, antennas, electronics, robotics, firmware, and cloud-based software. Keonn became part of Novanta recently. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Cloud Software Engineering Manager to lead the AdvanCloud platform team at Keonn. AdvanCloud is our core cloud product: a mission-critical SaaS platform that powers real-time RFID data processing, inventory management, and retail analytics for global enterprise customers. In this role, you will help shape the technical direction of the platform, guide a multidisciplinary engineering team, and work closely with product and business stakeholders to turn ideas into scalable, high-quality software solutions. You will play a key role in defining the platform architecture, ensuring technical coherence, and helping bring our product vision to life. Main Tasks - Drive the technical direction of the AdvanCloud platform, with a strong focus on software architecture and cloud-native solutions. - Make architectural decisions that ensure scalability, maintainability, security, and long-term evolution of the platform. - Translate product ideas and business vision into concrete technical solutions and actionable development plans. - Work with stakeholders to refine requirements, define priorities, and ensure the team is delivering high-value outcomes. - Coordinate day-to-day execution and help remove technical or organisational blockers. - Support Agile delivery processes and keep the team aligned, focused, and productive. - Oversee cloud infrastructure in AWS, including deployment processes, reliability, observability, and cost efficiency. - Contribute to AI-related initiatives, helping define use cases and guide experimentation and integration. - Work with the team to identify and address security and compliance considerations. - Collaborate with external partners and internal teams on third-party integrations and platform dependencies. - Report progress, risks, and key decisions to leadership. We Expect - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. - 5+ years of experience in software management, ideally with some experience leading Cloud platforms. - Proven experience in people leading roles. - Strong background in software architecture, preferably in cloud environments. - Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and modern backend development. - Ability to translate product and business needs into technical solutions. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. - Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure management. - Interest or experience in AI-based features or chatbot solutions. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to balance technical depth with team leadership. - Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks is a plus. - Experience with RFID, IoT, or retail technology is a plus. - Fluent in English; Catalan or Spanish is a plus. - Resident of the EU or holding an EU work permit.
