Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, monitoring and reporting on the department budget, working in close collaboration with Vice President and business are leadership to ensure annual budgets are met.

  • Responsible for maintaining the government officials contact database to promote prompt, efficient and effective communications to advance the interests of external stakeholders and the Company.
  • Applies knowledge and skills to effectively resolve constituent issues related to the Company which are raised by elected officials.
  • Coordinate public information meetings, public hearings and town meetings related to assigned projects.
  • Organize special events such as meetings and volunteer opportunities for team members.
  • Responsible for supporting the PLO team prior to and during emergency events by distributing press releases and other relevant information to government officials.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Education & Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience is preferred or an Associate's Degree with 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience includes customer service, managing corporate department budgets, public affairs, government affairs or communications.
  • Experience working with community organizations or in a setting that engages with community organizations is preferred.
  • Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point applications.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
