(d) Conduct topographical, as-built surveys and provide detail plan with cross and longitudinal section. (e) Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person and Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others. (f) Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. (g) Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites. (h) Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used. (i) Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features. (j) Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain. (k) Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys. (l) Read, utilize and interpret design drawings and topographic maps. (m) Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements. (n) Search legal records, survey records, and land titles in order to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed. (o) Coordinate findings with the work of site personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects. (p) Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain their accuracy (q) Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments. (r) Determine coordinates of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using theodolites and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS). (s) Train assistants and helpers, and direct their work in such activities as performing surveys. (t) Analyze survey objectives and specifications in order to prepare survey proposals or to direct others in survey proposal preparation. (u) Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data in order to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features. (v) Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures.
