Job Description - Project Engineer (Rail Engineering) Position Title Project Engineer (Rail Engineering) Reporting To Project Manager / Senior Project Manager Position Overview The Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, supervision, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of railway installation, renewal, upgrading, maintenance, testing support, and commissioning projects across operational railway environments. The Project Engineer shall manage day-to-day project activities involving Station Equipment Rooms (SER), Equipment Rooms (ER), Depot Equipment Rooms, Trackside Systems, Tunnels, Viaducts, Stations, Workshops, Stabling Areas, and Mainline Railway Infrastructure. The role requires close coordination with clients, railway operators, subcontractors, suppliers, supervisors, safety personnel, and testing & commissioning teams to ensure project milestones, quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations are achieved. The incumbent shall possess strong technical knowledge in railway signalling systems, electrical systems, communications systems, cable infrastructure, point machine systems, depot systems, and trackside installations, while ensuring works are executed safely within Engineering Hours (EH), possessions, and operational railway constraints.
