Generator Technicians (Midwest & Northeast)

Responsibilities

• Pearce is rapidly expanding and hiring Generator Technicians to support critical telecom infrastructure across multiple states in the Midwest and Northeast.
• In this role, you'll service and maintain commercial generators that power cell towers and mission-critical communication systems. This is a field-based position ideal for technicians who enjoy working independently, solving technical problems, and traveling to different sites.

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial generators at telecom sites
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues and complete repairs efficiently
• Install and replace generator components, wiring, controls, pumps, and related equipment
• Conduct performance testing and inspections to ensure system readiness and reliability
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and service documentation
• Respond to generator alarms and service calls as needed, including occasional on-call assignments
• Travel to job sites throughout your assigned region
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines while working in the field

Requirements

• 2+ years of generator, diesel, electrical, or mechanical maintenance experience
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
• Comfortable working independently in field environments
• Willing and able to travel regularly within your region
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT physical
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Preferred:
• Telecom, generator, diesel, or industrial equipment experience
• Familiarity with FCC, FAA, EPA, or OSHA standards
• Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• This is a field-based role working at telecom and infrastructure sites.
• You must be able to:
• Lift 50+ pounds
• Stand, climb, kneel, and work outdoors
• Travel regularly, including overnight travel when required
• Work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call rotations
