Anticipated End Date: 2026-07-04 Position Title: Program Manager, Strategic Performance Initiatives Job Description: Program Manager, Strategic Performance Initiatives Location: Nashville, TN Hybrid 1 : This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. The Program Manager plays a key role in advancing organizational performance through executive-level project management, data analytics, and strategic execution. Under the direction of the Wellpoint President and Wellpoint Chief of Staff, this position leads high-priority initiatives while developing executive dashboards and performance reporting that inform decision-making. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management skills who can translate data into actionable insights that drive operational excellence and business results. Program managers typically support business strategies through an integrated portfolio of external client facing projects or initiatives. A program manager may have responsibility for a piece of a larger enterprise/regional external client facing program. How you will make an impact: Manages and coordinates the development, approval, implementation and compliance of Assigned Tennessee programs; program budget; ensures program meets its stated objectives; provides subject matter expertise in response to day to day business issues. Researches applicable subject matter practices and remains aware of industry trends. Coordinates training related to assigned programs; develops program success measures and performs periodic assessments of program success. Minimum Requirements: Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years external client facing experience in program/project management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences: Graduate degree preferred. Project management certification preferred. Strong data management skills to efficiently pull, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, inform priorities, and support operational excellence.
