Virtu is looking for passionate and energetic software engineers to join our development team. WE'LL TRUST YOU TO: Develop, design and document of algorithmic and prop trading systems, under the guidance of project management Conduct testing and support QA Provide level 2 support for production systems WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU: University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent Java or C++ programming experience (minimum 5 years) QA and L2 support experience (minimum 5 years) Multithreading Experience Experience with version control systems Keen interest in equity markets Self-motivated with ability to take ownership of problems/solutions Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think laterally Excellent communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English YOU'RE JUST RIGHT FOR VIRTU IF YOU WANT: Exposure to different technologies, such as Linux, low latency, kernel bypass, machine learning, cloud and high-performance storage Projects with quick life cycles, from concept to production in less than three months A great place for upward and geographic mobility Direct exposure to the decision makers and senior leaders on the business side A company that's investing a sizable amount in its technology department Teams that are passionate about continually learning, improving and raising the bar A community that values hard work as well as work-life balance THE PROCESS After passing an application screening, candidates will be sent an online programming test via email from a service called HackerRank as a first step of the process. This is to gain an understanding of the candidates coding ability.
