What will this role achieve? The Commercial Finance Team sits at the heart of our Commercial Sales and Marketing teams. The UK & ROI has ambitious plans and Revenue Management is a key capability to drive long term sustainable growth. This role will support leading the Revenue Management transformation agenda, by ensuring clarity and control surrounding Pricing & Trade Investment. As the Commercial Finance Analyst, you will help to enable the Commercial Finance team to provide clarity and control through the organisation relating to Pricing and Trade investment, to unlock value for pladis as well as enabling RM analytics through systemised consistent, comparable pricing & trade investment architecture. The Commercial Finance Analyst will be part of a small team of analysts that own internal price lists and controlling price changes. The commercial trade investment balance sheet is owned by the Commercial Finance Team. The Commercial Finance Analyst will report into the 'Commercial Finance Manager - Investment' & work closely with both Sales Operations, Commercial and Finance teams. What will be your key deliverables? Support systemisation of the tracking & capture of Trade Investment Maintain & Administer pladis Price Lists & trade investment architecture Adherence to Controls around pricing changes, ensuring relevant approvals and records. Commercial Balance Sheet analysis for Trade Investment accruals. Independently ensuring robust records for trade spend by deal / activity. Be the main contact and lead the commercial side of the yearly External Audit through tracking of tasks, clear communication and providing insight. Lead quarterly balance sheet reviews with Sales and Commercial Finance teams to ensure action is tracked and adhered to maintain balance sheet health. Work with Commercial Finance Operations to improve accuracy and consistency of data capture and events through the Sales Planner system. Ensuring that data capture enables first class promotional analytics to enable strong performance understanding. Support Sales Operations team to drive a structured and consistent approach to invoice deduction management. Support the adoption of timely and robust deductions management. Requirements of the role Bring your experience. Essential Degree holder Intermediate MS Excel, PPT Fluent in English 0-2 years' experience in an analytical and business-oriented role within Consumer Goods - probably within a commercial finance team. Some experience of pulling together different internal data sources, to form clear insights into financial understanding. Ability to develop your own analytical processes to investigate ways of working being flexible to accepting new approaches to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Desire to start/continue with professional accounting qualification. CIMA study support provided. Desirable Bachelor's degree in mathematics, accountancy, physical sciences, engineering or economics.
