Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We're looking for an experienced Surveyor to join our high-performing Auckland-based Survey team, taking a lead role in the delivery of complex and high-value survey projects. In this role, you'll provide technical leadership and take ownership of project delivery-overseeing quality, programme, and commercial outcomes. You'll work both independently and collaboratively, guiding project teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients. In addition to project delivery, this role includes a people leadership component, supporting a team of approximately 5-7 surveyors. This typically represents around 30% of your time and focuses on mentoring, coaching, and helping others grow their technical and professional capabilities. You'll foster a collaborative team environment, contribute to planning and resourcing, and support day-to-day guidance-while remaining actively involved in hands-on survey project management and delivery. As part of a large multidisciplinary consultancy, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to significant national and international projects across sectors including utilities, transport, and local government. You'll be supported with the tools, trust, and challenge needed to further develop your expertise while making a meaningful impact on project outcomes and team performance. Ko wai koe | About you With solid experience in the survey profession, you bring a strong technical foundation across GNSS, robotic total stations, and laser scanning methodologies. Experience with 12d and Autodesk software is highly valued, along with exposure to UAV and broader reality capture technologies. You enjoy solving complex problems, driving innovation, and continually improving how work is delivered. You take pride in building strong relationships with clients and colleagues, and you're confident supporting, mentoring, and developing others in the team.
