Requirements

• Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
• Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Successful completion of post-hire 4-6-week Telemetry Clinical Orientation and passing score on the ECG written exam (Rhythm Interpretation) within ninety (90) days of hire. Successful completion of hands-on clinical competencies during the orientation period.

Work Shift: Day - 12 Hour (United States of America)7:00am - 7:00pm (36 Weekly Hours) This position is responsible for the monitoring and assessment of patients on cardiac monitoring devices throughout the HHC organization including telemetry transmitters and hard-wired monitors. This role is trained in ECG Rhythm Interpretation and is responsible for continuous monitoring of all telemetry rhythms, interpreting rhythm strips, measuring specific waveform intervals, and interacting professionally with peers, nursing staff and physicians in rhythm identification and rapid notification of deviation from baseline, as well as initiating baseline data collection of each event manually and digitally. Education & Training: High School diploma or GED equivalent. General knowledge of medical terminology. Completion of an approved educational diploma program in ECG/EKG, Cardiology, or Emergency Medical Services. Education/training (except for HS diploma or GED equivalent) may be waived with experience listed below.
