Responsibilities

  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • User requirements
  • Gather, prepare and analyze user requirements to create complex reports and moderately complex to advanced dashboards, utilizing enterprise data systems (such as Epic Slicer Dicer, Caboodle & Clarity, SAP/Crystal, Business Objects, etc.).
  • Participate in code reviews, including reviewing code of others.
  • Perform change management when reporting system modifications are needed.
  • Follow and assist in the development of build, configuration and release management processes and meet user and technical documentation standards as set by CCHMC.
  • Utilize and contribute to the CCHMC information glossary to refer to governed definitions when analyzing and creating reports.
  • Training
  • Develop end-user education strategies and develop or oversee the development of end-user materials for end user training, adoption and education.
  • Provide detailed ad hoc analysis for hospital departments and divisions.
  • Develop mastery of specific hospital data domains and provide consultation to customers and other technical staff.
  • Mentor junior members of the team related to specific technical skills as well as troubleshooting skills, departmental processes and general professionalism.

  • JOB QUALIFICIATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline

  • Previous clinical experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is a plus.
  • Certification in Epic's Cogito Administration or relevant Epic certifications.
  • Proven experience in report development within the Epic reporting environment, including familiarity with Clarity or Caboodle.
