The Product Development Manager is responsible for driving the end-to-end product lifecycle for Prudential Myanmar, from product ideation and development to implementation, launch, and ongoing portfolio management. The role focuses on creating customer-centric and commercially viable products that support business growth while ensuring effective execution, governance, and market competitiveness. What are we expecting from this role? 1. Lead the development of new product propositions and enhancements by identifying customer needs, market opportunities, and emerging industry trends. 2. Develop product concepts, specification documents, and business requirements that align with Prudential Myanmar's strategic and commercial objectives. 3. Manage the product portfolio and roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of product development initiatives and alignment with business priorities. 4. Drive product implementation activities by working closely with Actuarial, Technology, Operations, Distribution, Marketing, Compliance, and other stakeholders. 5. Translate product features into meaningful requirements and functional specifications, and lead business-side system implementation, testing, and deployment activities. 6. Monitor product performance and recommend initiatives to improve customer value, sales performance, persistency, profitability, and operational efficiency. 7. Support in periodic product reviews and recommend product enhancements, or innovation opportunities based on performance analysis and market insights. 8. Support product launch and post-launch activities, ensuring operational readiness, sales enablement, and effective market execution. 9. Ensure all products comply with regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, and product management frameworks. 10. Coordinate product due diligence and implementation assessments to ensure products are designed, distributed, and managed in the best interests of customers. 11. Act as the subject matter expert for product-related matters and provide guidance on product features, benefits, positioning, and implementation across the organization. 12. Support the Head of Products in executing strategic product initiatives and strengthening Prudential Myanmar's product development capabilities. Who are we looking for? 1. Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or a related discipline. Having LOMA certification is an advantage. 2. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in product development, product management, or business analysis, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry. Lesser experience candidates would be considered for Assistant Manager role. 3. Strong understanding of life and/or health insurance products, including product design, customer value propositions, and regulatory requirements. 4. Proven track record of leading end-to-end product development or implementation initiatives and delivering results through cross-functional collaboration. 5. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across marketing, actuarial, operations, technology, and distribution teams. 6. Familiarity with Product core artefacts such as specification document, terms and conditions, benefit illustration etc. 7. Experience in requirement gathering, UAT activities as part of product implementation in systems. 8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate market opportunities, product performance, and customer needs to drive business decisions. 9. Strong project management, presentation, and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Prudential is an equal opportunity employer.
