  • Essential Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations
  • Interacts compassionately and effectively with patients providing a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties; provides explanations of procedures and equipment, and answers questions
  • Escorts patient from sub-wait area to procedure room.
  • Explains procedure to patient prior to beginning exam.
  • Obtains appropriate medical history required (patient and family) before procedure is started.
  • Explains comparative film review and obtains patient film release signature, as appropriate.
  • Performs appropriate screening and diagnostic mammography exams.
  • Completes all required billing and documentation accurately and timely in EHR and PACS.
  • Performs bone density screening as assigned.
  • Maintains cleanliness of all radiology equipment and rooms.
  • Maintains job knowledge per the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and state regulatory requirements.
  • Follows department timekeeping procedures.
  • Works at main campus and satellite facilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description: Education: Required: Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology Licensure/Certification: Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R); California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Radiography and Mammography; American Heart Association BLS
