- Energy Efficiency & Sustainability
- Analyse energy consumption across electrical and facility systems and recommend improvement measures.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives such as LED retrofitting, Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), and energy-efficient equipment.
- Support sustainability initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce energy wastage and improve overall facility performance.
- Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with EMA regulations, LEW requirements, and other relevant statutory and safety standards.
- Conduct risk assessments for electrical and facility-related hazards, including condensation risks in cold environments.
- Enforce safe work procedures, including LOTO, permit-to-work systems, and workplace safety protocols.
- Facilities Management & Contractor Coordination
- Support day-to-day facilities management operations, including electrical infrastructure and building services.
- Coordinate with facilities service providers, contractors, and vendors for maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure work quality, safety compliance, and timely completion.
- Project, Upgrade & Asset Management
- Support electrical and facility-related projects, including cold-room expansion, renovation, upgrading, and asset replacement.
- Coordinate project activities with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders during installation and commissioning.
- Review electrical drawings, load schedules, technical specifications, and as-built documentation.
- Documentation, Reporting & Records
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, compliance documentation, and facility assets.
- Prepare incident reports, root-cause analyses, and corrective action records for electrical or facility failures.
- Update asset registers, electrical schematics, and facility documentation following system modifications.
- Continuous Improvement & Team Support
- Recommend improvements to enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical and facilities systems.
- Provide technical guidance and training to technicians on safe work practices and troubleshooting procedures.
