Department: Energy Services Division: Power Operations Pay Range $ 1 15,814 - $ 1 62,136 A nnual ly Midpoint $ 1 38,964 Annually Starting salaries generally fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range. Each offer depends on the candidate's experience and qualifications, internal pay equity, and available budget. Salary offers are negotiated individually based on these factors. SUMMARY OF POSITION This position oversees the City's electric utility field operations, directing transmission and distribution crews to ensure safe, reliable service for the community. The successful candidate will demonstrate an electrical safety and customer service focus. Working closely with the Energy Services Director, the Power Operations Manager leads utility professionals, supports critical infrastructure projects, and helps shape the future of Richland's electric system. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION This is a full-time, in-person position with a typical Monday-Friday schedule of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Flexible scheduling options, including a 9/80 schedule with alternating Fridays off or a 4 / 10 schedule, may be available. Final candidate m ust establish and maintain residenc y within a 30 minute or less respo nse time to designated City facilities for emergency response. This position is open until filled, with first consideration given to those applicants who apply prior to June 30 , 2026. Selection will be based on overall qualifications, skills testing (if applicable) , and an interview process.
