We are actively seeking a Sr. Functional Analyst, SAP . The role will report directly to the Director of Business Solutions . Qualified candidates can work remotely anywhere in the US. Position Summary This role is a Sr. Functional Analyst, SAP in our Global Product Development group supporting the US and Canada. The primary responsibility for this role is to lead and deliver SAP system specific legislative and regulatory updates for our customers to ensure their SAP systems are kept compliant with the various legal requirements published by agencies and governments globally. Functional Analysts combine in-depth product expertise with the latest tax and regulatory changes to produce system impact specifications and test strategies for Development & QA. The position will follow each tax and regulatory change from discovery through successful translation into an application update. This role is vital in providing high quality deliverables to our clients and keeping their mission critical enterprise applications in compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the team in translating tax and regulatory requirements for the US and Canada into system changes for clients' ERP systems Organize and facilitate problem-solving discussions with clients, internal operational teams, to resolve issues on complex updates relating to US and Canadian HR/Payroll Provide in-depth functional/technical knowledge and understanding of SAP system across multiple versions - US, Canada and Quebec HR/Payroll Modules to development team Ensure total product compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations through the analysis of each tax and legislative change and production of Business Analysis & Functional specifications detailing the impact to a specific SAP module. Provide in-depth knowledge of US and Canadian Payroll from a business perspective and as an end-to-end process. Lead the analysis, design and configuration of complex legislative requirements; including testing those updates to ensure product compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations of each tax and productions of stories for Scrum Team to refine and work. Leads the team in design on complex and thorough test plans to ensure quality deliverables Identifies potential points of contention for deliverables, creates and implements strategy to mitigate shortfalls in timeline and budget Anticipates problems before they occur, defines problems and risk, identifies possible causes and leads the team to identify solutions in implementing most appropriate solution Pro-actively identifies risks and issues on development deliveries, leading team to develop and maintain risk management on the deliverables Assist with complex troubleshooting of Tax & Regulatory client cases Provide expertise in how US, Canadian, and Quebec legislation is configured and processed in SAP Provide expertise in how US, Canada and Quebec payroll taxes are calculated and the respective processes in SAP Provide in-depth knowledge and experience with US Tax Reporter including interpreting state tax file specifications and configuring SAP to produce the file Provide in-depth knowledge of Canada T4 and Quebec RL forms and respective processes in SAP Design and development of business requirements, user stories (functional guidance), configuration requirements, test plans. Work closely with the development team to ensure adherence to the functional design and that all business requirements are being satisfied Formulate test strategies, review test plans, and perform system tests working with the QA team to ensure high quality deliverables Assist the Development and QA Management Team with planning activities related to product specific Tax & Regulatory updates (i.e., bundle scheduling, project planning and tracking, etc.) Organization and communication of such information, clearly disclosing the details needed for product specialists and subscribing
