Administrative, using excel, working on Blackboard, calling students, working with faculty, scheduling meetings, attention to details and able to multi-task, if good with social media, that would be great. Position Summary: The summer intern will work closely with various departments within Meharry Medical College to gain hands-on experience and contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives. This internship offers an opportunity to develop professional skills, expand knowledge in specific areas of interest, and gain practical experience in a higher education setting. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) - Assign a percentage to each essential function (equal to 100%): Assist with administrative tasks as assigned - data entry, filing, and organizing documents 30 Provide support for events, workshops, and seminars hosted by the college 40 Assist with social media management, including content creation and scheduling posts 15 Collaborate with team members on special projects and assignments 5 Provide support to faculty members in preparing course materials and presentations 5 Attend meetings and training sessions to gain exposure to various aspects of college operations 5 =100% Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Prior experience in a related field is a plus but not required Education and Experience: Varies based upon applicant age. Internship will last eight weeks. Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands Usual office environment.
