About the role

Position Summary: As a Maintenance Technician you will be a member of the maintenance team responsible for maintenance services including troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems within the facility. Must possess strong electrical experience in power distribution, PLC controlled systems, combustion systems, instrumentation, computer based systems and networks, AC/DC motors and drive systems and servo systems. Must also display strong mechanical skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, rotating systems, HVAC and general facilities maintenance duties. Responsibilities Include: Must have exceptional safety/OSHA knowledge and compliance and comply with all Company rules for health and safety Follow work instructions and preventative maintenance plans, enter job completion data and associated stores issue transactions Must have welding degree or 2 years welding experience for light fabrication work on equipment. Identify improvement opportunities including the development of the preventative maintenance program Possess excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities; able to collaborate with others to find resolution to complex problems Able to consult with outside vendors and contractors Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment such as lathes, presses, saws, as well as all plant equipment. Ability to operate forklifts, articulating lifts, and scissor lifts; perform work from ladders and scaffolds Working knowledge of load interrupting switches, distribution transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers; familiar with switching plans and LOTO of power circuits Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies Familiar with infrared testing, vibration analysis, oil analysis, motor circuit analysis and ultrasound testing In depth knowledge of relevant industry equipment, e.g., control valves, pumps, drives, instrumentation, AC/DC motors and controls, PLC and servo systems Ability to interpret electrical / instrument loop diagrams Demonstrate ability to use diagnostic equipment such as: voltmeters, ammeters and oscilloscopes Working knowledge of maintenance plant facilities equipment such as lighting, air compressors, cooling towers, fire systems, cranes and lifting devices, and other industrial systems Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment breakdowns to ensure production schedules are met and work details are recorded in SAP Ensure that all maintenance procedures and the quality of work is compliant with company standards Working knowledge of combustion and induction heating systems Strong communication skills using multiple forms such as email, text, phone and face to face. Able to read and understand English.   • The following are required for the role
  • Minimum High School diploma
  • 5 Years previous maintenance experience with heavy equipment, large mixers, extruders, and pumping stations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, overtime, shutdowns and flexible scheduling
  • Computer literate
  • Preferred:
  • Prefer 2 year technical degree or completion of Maintenance Apprenticeship Program
