Based out of our Natchitoches, LA location, you will be responsible for serving as the link between operations in the plant and product engineering. Position will support in-plant quality, engineering, and production, while also being available to help support product engineering and other corporate functions. Often, working objectives are driven from both sides. Projects will often require working in cross-functional teams. This position is located in our Natchitoches, Louisiana (Alliance) plant. AS A RESIDENT ENGINEER, YOU WILL: Manage and coordinate efforts among cross functional teams to complete projects Product engineering support Support for plant operations, including supporting production and manufacturing as well as in plant quality and engineering needs. Troubleshoot problems Work on quality and cost improvement projects Analyze and present data as needed Demonstrate understanding of functional role REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Excellent written and oral communication skills Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Experience in high volume manufacturing facility. Experience with high volume rotating equipment. Minitab or other statistical software. Knowledge and experience with DMAIC problem solving methodology. About Our Location Alliance Compressors LLC develops, manufactures, and markets one through six-ton scroll compressors. Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units. The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space. This climate-controlled facility is the third-largest manufacturing business in the area, and offers its 600+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
