[What the role is] The National Library Board (NLB) nurtures Readers for Life, Learning Communities and a Knowledgeable Nation by promoting reading, learning and history through our network of 28 libraries across Singapore, the National Library and the National Archives of Singapore. At NLB, you can look forward to a flexible, hybrid work environment with rewarding, impactful deliverables that improve the lives of the community. With caring colleagues, you will be in an ideal environment for professional development, innovation and impact. We can offer you: - A chance to Impact the Community, bridge gaps and empower everyone with the opportunity for learning and discovery. - An opportunity to Innovate and Push Boundaries. We value ideas, curiosity and a passion for innovation to transform our libraries and archives. - An organisation that Cares for your Growth and Wellbeing through investment in staff development and wellbeing in a supportive and collaborative environment. [What you will be working on] If you are passionate about design and enjoy seeing your creative work come to life, we'd love to have you on board! As part of the Creative Services team under the Marketing Department, you will play an active role in supporting the visual identity of our library programmes and events, from conceptualisation to execution, across both digital and print formats. You can expect to collaborate with the team to propose and create design solutions, adapt marketing collaterals across a diverse range of digital and print formats, and take on photography duties at on-site events, with your work featured in advertisements, emails, and social media. [What we are looking for] We are looking for a motivated and creative individual with a related background or experience in Communication Design, Digital Media Arts, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Interactive Design, Multimedia Design, Digital Animation, Motion Graphics, or a related field. You should have strong visual design skills and be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Canva. You will also have the opportunity to support event photography - a keen eye and genuine interest in photography would go a long way. If you have experience in video production, motion graphics, or animation (e.g. After Effects, Premiere Pro), that would be a bonus but is not a requirement. What matters most is that you bring curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to grow with the team. This role offers hands-on experience across live projects, where you will develop your creative skills, sharpen your time management, and grow within a collaborative team environment. Duration: Minimum 8 to 24 weeks
