- The Candidate shall be competent to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Arm and disarm the School's Intrusion Detection System.
- Carry out after-school closing duties, including locking all gates and roller shutters at entrances to school buildings, and ensuring that all lights, fans, and air-conditioning units in classrooms are switched off and classroom doors are locked.
- Conduct regular checks of the school premises and report any building, mechanical, or electrical defects identified.
- Familiarise with the school's fire alarm system and be able to reset it when required. In-house training will be provided.
- Familiarise with the school's electrical systems and be able to restore electricity supply by resetting the appropriate circuit breaker in the event of a power failure. In-house training will be provided.
- Provide logistics support for all school events, activities, and meetings, including the moving and arrangement of furniture, equipment, and stored items.
- Perform minor repair works or implement interim stop-gap measures on reported defects prior to the arrival of the Term Contractor for full repairs, under the guidance of the Operations Manager (OM).
- Escort contractors during maintenance, repair, and inspection works to ensure compliance with the school's security and safety rules and regulations.
- Assist the OM in conducting checks and implementing precautionary measures to prevent mosquito breeding.
- Assist the OM in carrying out routine building checks.
- Assist the OM in monitoring cleaning equipment and consumable stockpile levels to ensure sufficient supply is maintained.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the OM.
- Be responsible for the daily upkeep and cleanliness of assigned special rooms and areas within the school, including sweeping and mopping floors, clearing waste bins, and cleaning windows and cupboards.
