About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and multi tasking Purchase officer is responsible for managing the procurement of construction materials, equipment services, and consumables required for civil construction projects. The role ensures timely procurement, cost optimization, quality compliance, and effective supplier management while supporting project schedules and budgets Key Responsibilities Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements. Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers and negotiate the best commercial terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties. Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procurement policies. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, planning teams, and the warehouse to ensure timely material delivery. Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers and identify new vendors to improve procurement efficiency. Monitor market trends, material prices, and supplier performance to achieve cost savings. Ensure all purchased materials comply with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. Track purchase orders and expedite deliveries to avoid project delays. Resolve supplier-related issues, including delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies. Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation for audit purposes. Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations. Support tendering and estimation teams by obtaining competitive quotations during bid preparation. Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchasing forecasts for management. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional procurement certifications are an added advantage. Experience 7-10 years of procurement experience in civil construction or contracting companies. Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontract procurement. Experience working in the GCC/UAE construction industry is preferred. Required Skills Strong negotiation and commercial acumen. Excellent knowledge of procurement processes and contract management. Familiarity with construction materials, technical specifications, and supplier networks. Proficiency in ERP systems (Xpedion) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
