About the role

You will serve as Head of the Platform Noise Branch (Code 724) of the Acoustic Technology Development Division (Code 72) of CARDEROCK DIV NS. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. Experience must not be purely academic or theoretical; it must show tangible application to naval platforms and warfighting challenges. The candidate should possess a deep knowledge of the physical mechanisms of noise generation internal and external hull components, onboard machinery and structural vibration (structural acoustics).
