Additional Information

As an Organ Surgical Recovery Coordinator, you will be present in the OR assisting surgeons as they recover organs, and you will facilitate the process for organ preservation including the use of cutting edge mechanical perfusion devices. You will also independently perform the recovery of corneas and heart valves for transplant from deceased donors. Additionally, you will be responsible for arranging the logistics for the recovery of organs for transplant by organizing team transportation and communicating with NEDS and hospital staff. At the end of each day, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you contributed to life saving and life enhancing initiatives. Schedule: This is a full-time position with 24 hour on-call shifts. Shifts begin at 8:00am and end at 8:00am. In a 6 week (42 day) period, you will be on-call 28 days, which will include 8 weekend days and 20 weekdays. Expect to work overnights, holidays and weekends. We are now interviewing and hiring for our upcoming Summer 2026 New Hire Orientation classes.
