The Position: Veracyte is seeking an exceptional candidate for a summer internship in the Automation and Equipment Engineering teams. The Automation team is responsible for designing, programming, implementing, and maintaining complex automated liquid handling methods to support cancer patient diagnostics. Additionally, the Equipment Engineering team is responsible for the calibration, verification, validation, reliability, and repair of common and complex equipment within Veracyte's laboratories. This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on, applied skills in the cutting-edge field of Laboratory Automation and Equipment Engineering, gaining experience with industry-leading equipment and tools. The role will be part time, 20-30 hours a week, for approximately 12 weeks from June-September at our labs in San Diego, California.
