Responsibilities

  • Job Duties: Uncover user needs, friction points, and opportunities through the use of data analysis, generating and prioritizing insights, and creating/sharing user journeys based on data with the entire cross-functional team.
  • Plan and produce key IT enterprise products and processes and understand and take action based on key data, including limitations, resourcing, capabilities, and performance requirements.
  • Working closely with the UX Research team, assisting in planning, executing, and analysing usability tests with Red Hat products and processes, including setting up tests and either validating our understanding or uncovering key gaps and opportunities.
  • Utilize relevant Agile methodologies and tooling (e.g. Jira).
  • Build relationships and communicate with multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Advocate for access to, and communicate directly with, end users to understand their pain points and needs, regarding our products and processes.
  • Interact with technical issues and reported bugs to improve products and user experiences.
  • Understand and socialize the user's end to end journey to uncover key opportunities to improve the user experience.
  • Understand and align to key industry standards around reporting, costs, and security needs in order to provide optimal user experiences with our products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Information Science, Media Studies, Interaction Design, or related field and one (1) year of experience designing user experience for applications.
  • Must have one (1) year of visual design experience with color, typography, and layout, enabling the creation of visually appealing and coherent user interfaces.
  • Must have design communication experience with both technical and non-technical presentations for large and small audiences.

  • The salary range for this position is $115,770 - $185,070 /year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S. Assist in the planning, collection, and analysis of key data in order to uncover insights to help inform design decisions, product decisions, and features. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other design teams to plan and produce key IT enterprise products and processes.
