Permanent Occupational Therapist (Community Hospital + Nursing Home, Central + West)

About the role

We are actively hiring for a client in a Senior Care Centre setting in Singapore and we wish to invite interested therapist to apply the role. Job Code: SNHC18/03/OT Permanent Occupational Therapist CLINICAL Conduct assessments using appropriate tools to evaluate patients' self-care, work, and leisure participation. Develop, implement, and update treatment plans and goals during inpatient stay. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attend case management meetings, and participate in discharge planning with patients, families, and external agencies. Maintain accurate and timely patient records. Supervise and instruct Occupational Therapists and Therapy Aides, managing both own and junior therapists' caseloads. PROFESSIONAL Practice according to AHPC Code of Professional Conduct and maintain patient and organizational confidentiality. Supervise, appraise, and mentor therapists, therapy aides, undergraduate and post-graduate students, and foreign-trained therapists. Lead workshops, seminars, clinical research projects, and develop clinical standards. Liaise with external agencies and coordinate new therapy programs. ADMINISTRATIVE Update patient statistics and assist in policy implementation and review. Maintain therapy equipment and provide coverage or leadership for outpatient services, therapy aides, and nursing home rehabilitation as required. Undertake additional tasks or projects assigned by the Head of Occupational Therapy. HEALTH AND SAFETY Follow and implement health and safety regulations; participate in safety programs. Complete mandatory courses (CPR, Manual Handling, Fire Safety) and follow infection control protocols. Identify, report, and resolve potential hazards or incidents promptly.
