About the role

You will serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Policy and Planning) in the N6 Information Technology Directorate of COMMANDER NAVY REGION EUROPE AFRICA CENTRAL, in Capodichino. Italy. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Develop and manage enterprise-wide procedures to ensure the development of new products and services is consistent with company privacy policies and legal obligations. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Develop, modify, or provide input to project plans and implements project plans to meet objectives. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provide advice on project costs, design concepts, or design changes. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Optimize the provision of IT services through use of standard industrial business practices, cost reduction/efficiency improvement programs, production output projections, staffing levels and directorate operating budgets. In addition to the four competencies listed above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Evaluate information technology (IT) configurations to determine necessary enhancements, upgrades, or modifications; 2) Provide information technology (IT) oversight in areas of requirements validation, budget preparation, portfolio and applications management, and project management; 3) Coordinate with various officials for plans, policies, and resolution of problems; and 4) Develop data management systems to support an organization's business and information management initiatives.
