Work Shift: Third Shift - Somersworth (United States of America) Work Shift Time: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday through Friday Job Objective: Coordinate and perform tasks related to shipping and receiving of materials in the Distribution Department in an accurate and efficient manner. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. Act as a main point of contact in the department, assist Distribution Supervisor with direction of daily workflow, and act on behalf of the Distribution Supervisor as requested. Essential Job Functions (In addition to those of Distribution Associate III): Commitment to Safety Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Promotes a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging others to prioritize safety. Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process. Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities. Acts as a point of contact for shipping, receiving & distribution requests. Exhibits an understanding of all departmental procedures & requirements. Creates & maintains procedures, work instructions & training programs. Creates training plans with Warehouse Supervisor & trains all new hires. Performs IT testing for new programs, software & hardware. Troubleshoots labeling, printing & Oracle issues. Supports Warehouse Supervisor in administrative functions as needed. Runs daily department stand up meeting in Distribution Supervisor's absence. Assesses resource needs throughout day in all areas & advises associates on what tasks to prioritize in Distribution Supervisor's absence. Releases daily sales orders in Distribution Supervisor's absence. Ability to work well with others in a team environment Full time presence required Ability and willingness to be cross trained in any other functions as required or requested. Excellent attendance required. Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends. Additional tasks as assigned. Job Qualifications (In addition to those of Distribution Associate III): High School Diploma or equivalent. 1 year with Velcro USA as Distribution Associate III, or equivalent experience. Expertise in Microsoft Office programs, desktop, and mobile technology. Demonstrated ability to work well with and train others on complex tasks. Demonstrated leadership ability. 1 year with Velcro USA as Distribution Associate III, or equivalent experience. Ability to lift to 65lbs unassisted. Certifications in both clamp truck and sit-down fork truck. ERP system knowledge. Demonstrated attention to detail. Effective time management skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
