Commercial Risk Analyst I

About the role

Support the first line of defense risk management function by assisting with the identification and assessment of risks, risk monitoring and testing, and issues management. Primary Responsibilities: Assist with the identification and assessment of risks through the completion of process maps and the identification of internal controls for key business processes. Perform control testing in accordance with M&T's First Line of Defense Guidance on Management of Risks & Internal Controls and professional standards. Assist with the monitoring of identified risks through the completion of risk-based testing and ensure compliance with business unit policies and procedures for key processes. Assist with the completion of Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSAs) and other risk management reporting. Research and understand regulatory requirements for respective business line. Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year of relevant work experience , or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years' higher education and/or work experience M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees.
