Typical duties include but are not limited to: First Insurance Company of Hawaii's (FICOH) Internship Program is designed to introduce students to a property and casualty insurance company and the numerous career opportunities that exist within our organization. Students will be rotating amid various key departments and accompanying professionals on ridealong/job shadowing opportunities. Additionally, interns will be shown operational functions and assigned a team project to work on during the course of the program, culminating in a presentation to company leaders. Qualifications / Experience: Current University of Hawaii student (Shidler College of Business and UHWO Risk Management Certification students preferred) Must be able to commit to a 10-hour weekly commitment over a 15-week period. Candidates should possess a high interest in learning about various jobs and functions within the insurance industry. They should be curious, engaged, self-starters who will take the initiative to ask questions and seek an in-depth understanding of our organizations. Candidates should be able to work independently on a project and successfully present their project findings to company leaders. Hourly Rate: $16.00/hour Salary: Salary offer is based on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge , skills and experience. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
