Job Summary: Functions as an ambassador of Zion Mountain Ranch, modeling and sharing the "culture" with our guests and employees. Upholds the most professional image. Continually strives to exceed our guests' expectations and create memories for our guests and staff. Ensure overall quality management of the food and beverage outlet. Responsible for supervision of restaurant staff. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training staff. Responsible for training of staff, to include daily operations, restaurant expectations, safety trainings. Works on the floor during periods of high volume, covering any position needed and ensuring adherence to established restaurant expectations by all restaurant staff. Maintains positive communication with staff and management. Including but not limited to: 1 general staff meeting per month. Conduct "one on one" meetings with your direct reports. Conduct a daily pre-shift "huddle" with staff. Develop, implement, and maintain satisfactory training program for restaurant staff. Monitor training programs and ensure that training is done consistently for all jobs. Utilize behavior-based feedback model & process to develop and improve employee performance. Responsible for maintaining consistent and fair disciplinary procedures. Determines appropriate staffing levels according to business forecasts and ensures sufficient staff is in place. Establishes and implements a quantitative system for measuring food quality, service and overall customer satisfaction in the outlet. Monitors feedback weekly and takes appropriate action to correct problems. Will develop and support a minimum of one "signature" food item and one "signature" beverage item within one month of opening. Maintains proper sanitation standards. Responsible for proper maintenance of facilities and equipment, inside and outside. Is knowledgeable of and able to implement proper security and safety protocols. Ensure that the outlet follows all local, state and federal laws and regulations. (this includes, but is not limited to, local liquor laws, employment laws, OSHA rulings, sanitation standards) Ensure that appropriate standards regarding interior environment, atmosphere, and theming are maintained. Responsible for overall financial performance of outlet as established by budgetary guidelines. This includes but is not limited to: revenue generation cost of goods sold % and $ volumes labor/payroll costs % and $ volumes general expenses % and $ volumes Adherence to budgetary guidelines. Proper usage and maintenance of payroll, inventory, P.O.S., and informational systems. Maintains proper inventory costing procedures. Maintains proper ordering and receiving procedures. Maintains proper procedures regarding invoicing and bill payments. Establishes and maintains appropriate and effective working relationships with internal and external customers, as well as Zion Mountain Ranch employees at all levels of the organization. Responsible for any other duty management deems necessary. Participate in Leadership events such as meetings, required trainings, and employee dinners/events Work Location: Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, this position is on-site. RV space with hook ups are available at no cost for employees, limited employee housing at no cost is available on-site and commuting from the local vicinity is also acceptable. Due to the nature of our business, Zion Mountain Ranch is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
