Mechanical Supervisor Weekend shift, Fri - Sun 6am - 6pm (El Paso, TX → Midland, TX)

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Supervision:
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians across shifts
• Assign work, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities
• Train, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel
• Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards
• Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
• Oversee maintenance of:
• Production equipment
• Assembly tooling
• Electrical and mechanical systems
• Ensure rapid response to equipment failures and minimize downtime
• Support troubleshooting of:
• PLC-controlled systems
• Motors, drives (VFDs), sensors
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
• Manage and execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs
• Drive predictive maintenance strategies to reduce unplanned downtime
• Ensure all maintenance activities are documented in CMMS systems
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase equipment reliability
• Track KPIs:
• Equipment uptime
• Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
• Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
• Partner with engineering and production to improve system performance
• Documentation & Compliance
• Ensure accurate documentation of:
• Repairs
• Parts usage
• Maintenance logs
• Maintain compliance with:
• Safety standards
• Internal procedures
• Aerospace manufacturing requirements
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with:
• Production teams

• Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and validation
• What You Bring:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Technical degree preferred)
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience
• Strong knowledge of:
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• PLC troubleshooting and control systems
• Experience with CMMS systems
• Ability to read and interpret:
• Schematics
• Technical manuals
• Electrical diagrams

Requirements

• Experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing environments

This position is based in our satellite production facility in Midland, TX , with full relocation provided (details below). We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations supporting satellite manufacturing equipment and production systems. This role is responsible for supervising technicians, ensuring equipment uptime, and driving preventive and predictive maintenance programs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems. The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting high-volume aerospace production. Compensation & Schedule: Pay: $42-49/DOE /hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities. Higher-level roles are available for more experienced candidates at increased pay. Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6 am to 6 pm with paid lunch and breaks and overtime availability. Flexibility: Night and weekday shifts with are also available depending on experience and team needs.
