About the role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team supporting Korea, Japan, and Singapore. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting experience and a strong understanding of Korean accounting standards (K-GAAP), IFRS, and regional tax compliance. This role will play a key part in managing multi-country accounting operations and supporting our fast-growing AI services business with accurate and timely financial data.
Responsibilities
- General Accounting
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger (GL) entries and reconciliations across Korea, Japan, and Singapore entities
- Ensure proper month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing in compliance with company policies and local GAAP/IFRS
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes across multiple countries
- Review and reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow across entities
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for multiple entities and stakeholders
- Support the preparation of consolidated financials for headquarters
- Assist in management reporting and variance analysis across regions
- Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and file tax returns including VAT (Korea), Consumption Tax (Japan), and GST (Singapore)
- Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements across Korea, Japan, and Singapore
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and government agencies as required
- Process Improvement & Tools
- Support ERP/financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) across regions
- Assist in implementing automation tools to improve efficiency in finance operations
- Collaborate with global finance teams to align accounting policies and internal controls
- Business Support
- Partner with operational and project teams to provide financial insights for AI service projects
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning across multiple entities
- Provide finance-related support for payroll, expense reimbursement, and operational finance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in technology or service companies
- Strong knowledge of K-GAAP, IFRS, and regional tax compliance (Korea, Japan, Singapore preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and financial reporting capabilities
- Strong communication skills in Korean and English (written and spoken)
- Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- Experience handling multi-country accounting operations
- Good communication skills in Japanese
- Familiarity with Singapore GST and regional compliance requirements
