About the role
We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, and detail-oriented Technician (Psychology) to join the University of Salford's School of Health and Society. The successful candidate will be customer-focused and committed to delivering high-quality teaching support, enabling research excellence, and driving continuous improvement across laboratory and learning environments. This role involves providing general psychology technical support to staff and/or students as required, primarily across the psychology lab facilities, but also across the School of Health & Society if necessary. The Psychology Technician will assist the psychology team in delivering high-quality teaching support, practical activities, and learning resources to enhance the student experience. Key Responsibilities To Assist staff and students with the necessary technical support for Psychology learning and research. To assist in the technical support of psychology laboratories and equipment. To assist in the maintenance of psychology laboratories, equipment, and stores (i.e. stock control). To support the development of teaching, research and enterprise activities. Provide timely and accurate responses to customer enquiries for example via the technical team inbox, ensuring adherence to service standards.
