Technical Product Manager

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product management or equivalent experience in engineering, data, or analytics roles
• Strong technical background with the ability to understand system architecture, APIs, and integrations
• Proficiency in SQL and the ability to work directly with data models, schemas, and table-level structures
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer and business needs into clear, actionable product requirements
• Experience working closely with engineering and data teams on technical or platform-based products
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make and own decisions in high-autonomy environments
• Experience engaging with customers or external stakeholders in a technical capacity

The Technical Product Manager (TPM) is a deeply technical role focused on defining the right problems, shaping high-quality product requirements, and partnering with engineering to deliver customer-impacting solutions. This role operates within an AI-enabled product model, where initial requirements and workflows may be generated by AI. The TPM is responsible for validating, refining, and ensuring those outputs are accurate, complete, and aligned with both technical and business realities. You will own products within FreedomPay's data and AI portfolio, including business intelligence, embedded reporting, and AI-powered features built on top of our commerce data platform. This role requires strong product judgment, technical depth, and a clear understanding of how data structures drive product outcomes. This is not a project or delivery role. It is focused on product ownership, technical decision-making, and delivering meaningful customer value.
