Our Values (how we work - our core principles & commitments): We are mission-driven, collegial & collaborative, diverse & inclusive, and accountable & transparent Here's the opportunity: Coordinator, Loan Portfolio Reporting to the Director, Loan Portfolio & Client Support, you will contribute towards an accurate and balanced loan portfolio. You will work closely with the Loans, Finance and Client Support teams and will assist with processing and documenting various loan-related transactions, while adhering to the appropriate internal targets. This existing role is a permanent , full-time position based in Toronto, ON. The incumbent will be working on our hybrid work model requiring a minimum 2 days in the office. Please note that during the training period, additional in-office days may be required. What you will do: Maintain Integrity of the Loan Portfolio (40%) Prepare files for loan disbursements and/or payments Ensure loan advancement by accurately uploading disbursement EFTs Reverse and assign payments that return NSF (non-sufficient funds) Program loan restructure requests in the loans system Generate and upload monthly loan statements to client portal Monitor change request dashboard to respond to entrepreneur and/or internal inquiries Prepare the yearly audit confirmation letters to the auditor and assist with the process as needed Review loan files and transaction records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal procedures Review and Reconcile Loan Portfolio (25%) On a weekly basis, reconcile all loan transactions in the loans system and upload transactions to the accounting system for month-end Work with the Finance team to resolve any discrepancies that come up during the reconciliation Run system reports periodically to ensure accuracy of loan portfolio Prepare Monthly/Quarterly Reports for Month-End & Quarter-End (15%) Collaborate with Finance and other teams to provide various Excel-based ad hoc reports using the data in the loans system Provide support for loan portfolio analysis and reporting Assist with monthly/quarterly reports relating to disbursements, write-offs, and restructures to inform the Finance and Loans team on how the portfolio is doing while monitoring any related trends Client Support and Process Improvement - 20% Monitor and review client check-in survey responses and follow up as needed to address concerns or dissatisfaction, if applicable Assist client support team by responding to and resolving client inquiries as needed Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes and operational efficiencies Work with manager on loan system improvements and use feedback from team to identify gaps Identify reporting needs and collaborate with vendor support team to implement updates as needed Provide operational support as assigned by the manager to help support the various teams What you will have: Relevant experience may include education with a focus in Finance, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent hands-on career experience 2 years' experience in loan portfolio or business administration Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy Full proficiency in Microsoft Office - Intermediate-level Excel skills, including dynamic spreadsheets and intermediate-level skills with other MS Office software Demonstrated experience in working with a client relationship management (CRM) system Demonstrated experience in supporting internal and external client needs Proven success working proactively both independently and as part of a team Track record of contributing ideas and implementing process improvements Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, responding to multiple queries and deadlines simultaneously Excellent English verbal and written communication skills Bilingualism in
