About the role

Guidepoint is launching a centralized Centre for Expert Acquisition (CEA) team focused on building and scaling expert coverage across priority sectors, particularly within Private Markets. This team will operate as a proactive recruiting engine - mapping markets, identifying high-value companies and personas, and continuously building pipelines of senior industry experts aligned to Guidepoint's long-term strategy. We are hiring a Team Lead to build and run this function on the ground. This is a player-coach role with full ownership of execution, team performance, and day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for setting the tone, building team discipline, driving output, and ensuring consistent delivery against aggressive recruiting targets. You will also serve as the on-ground representative for global leadership, acting as the eyes and ears for the Global Director of Research & Operations and ensuring the team operates with high accountability, energy, and execution rigor. This role is fully in-office during US hours and requires strong leadership presence during late evening/night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Build & Run the Team
  • Support hiring and onboarding of a team of 4 Research Associates during the pilot phase
  • Establish daily operating rhythm, structure, and execution discipline from day one
  • Set clear expectations on outreach volume, quality, and performance standards
  • Create a high-energy, high-accountability team environment
  • Drive Execution (Player-Coach)
  • Personally execute recruiting mandates alongside the team
  • Lead by example in outbound activity (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach)
  • Step in on high-priority or complex recruiting situations
  • Ensure consistent pipeline generation and conversion
  • Performance Management & KPIs
  • Own team-level KPIs including:
  • Outreach volume

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in recruitment, executive search, inside sales, B2B sales, or similar outbound-heavy roles
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring teams (formal or informal)
  • Strong comfort with high-volume outbound activity and phone-based engagement
  • Proven ability to operate in target-driven, performance-oriented environments
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to work a fixed US-hours night shift from office (mandatory)
  • High ownership mindset with ability to operate in an unstructured, build-from-scratch environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage pressure, maintain composure, and drive outcomes
