About the role
Start Date: November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter Hours: 36.25 hours per week Fixed Term: 24 months Applications are sought for a committed Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work with Dr Daphné Lemasquerier conducting research for a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship (FLF) funded project entitled "Fluid Dynamics of Deep Interiors in the Outer Solar System". The primary duties will be to develop innovative laboratory experiments of rotating horizontal convection, with a particular emphasis on their application to subsurface oceans of icy moons. The successful applicant will have (or be near to completion of) a PhD in fluid dynamics or a cognate discipline. Applicants should be able to demonstrate how their research background would feed into the project. Expertise in experimental fluid mechanics will be an advantage. The post is available for 24 months starting in November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
