Job Description Job Summary** We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our client base within the Malaysian market. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to the bank's strategic objectives. Job Responsibilities** * Identify and develop new business opportunities across various segments, including corporate, commercial, and institutional clients. * Proactively engage with potential clients to understand their financial needs and propose tailored banking solutions, including loans, trade finance, cash management, and treasury products. * Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. * Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth. * Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, demonstrating the value proposition of UOB Malaysia's offerings. * Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including product specialists, credit risk, and legal teams, to structure and deliver comprehensive financial solutions. * Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and KPIs, contributing to the overall profitability and growth of the bank. * Stay updated on industry regulations, market developments, and best practices in business development. * Represent UOB Malaysia at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads. * Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and market intelligence for management review. Job Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA is a plus. * Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the banking or financial services industry, preferably in Malaysia. * Strong understanding of banking products and services, including corporate lending, trade finance, cash management, and treasury. * Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset. * Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships at all levels. * Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a strong work ethic. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. Proficiency in other local languages is an advantage. * Possession of relevant industry certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE) is a plus.
