About the role

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assigning duties to positions and initiating action to recruit, promote, reassign, and more to meet functional obligations. Experience planning, directing, managing, conducting, and certificating Non-Nuclear test programs. Experience reviewing and issuing of prerequisite lists, test sequences, and production test procedures to avoid work/test delays. Experience providing directions for preparation of sea trial agendas and the overall direction for the conduct of assigned sea trials, including review of test data for acceptance and/or deciding the need for repair or retest. Experience interpreting and executing Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and local requirements pertaining to the safe operations and testing of ship systems.
