Responsibilities

  • Global Incident Investigation & Learning
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of FLSmidth's global incident investigation framework, procedures, standards, and tools.
  • Establish governance and quality assurance processes to ensure investigations are timely, consistent, and effective across all regions.
  • Drive the consistent application of root cause analysis methodologies, including ICAM, TapRooT, 5-Why, or equivalent approaches.

  • Analyse incident data to identify trends, recurring issues, systemic risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Champion a Just Culture by promoting fair, objective, and learning-focused investigations.
  • Shanghai Workshop HSE
  • Ensure full compliance with local HSE legislation and FLSmidth standards for the Shanghai workshop.
  • Implement and maintain safe systems of work, including risk assessments, permit-to-work processes, and operational controls.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and follow-up actions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop workforce HSE capability through training, toolbox talks, coaching, and day-to-day support.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen HSE performance and safety culture at the workshop.
  • What you bring
  • Degree in Health, Safety & Environment, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8-12+ years' experience in HSE, with significant experience leading incident investigations.
  • Experience working within global or multi-site industrial organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies such as ICAM, TapRooT, 5-Why, or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience developing investigation processes, governance, and organisational learning programs.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience delivering HSE training and building safety capability across diverse teams.
  • Full professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English.
