Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Requirements

• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Veterinary Technician Salary: $22-$24 an hour dependent on skills and experience Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8AM-6PM Wednesday 8AM-8PM Rotating Weekends- Saturday 8AM-2PM, Sundays 8 AM-12PM Animal Hospital of Dunedin is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients.
