About the role

KidSTART Singapore Ltd (KSL) is looking for a Senior Manager who will serve as KSL's strategic architect to anchor KSL's corporate governance and steer our long-term roadmap. This role is ideal for any forward‑thinking individual who thrives in shaping organisational strategy, strengthening governance systems, and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders. This is a highly visible role that works closely with the KSL Board and Senior Management, contributing directly to the organisation's strategic decision-making and long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Corporate Governance
  • Drive KSL's corporate governance agenda by ensuring full adherence to the Code of Governance for Charities and IPCs, the Companies Act, as well as relevant regulatory requirements, upholding the highest standards of stakeholder and public trust.
  • Establish a systemic process and work with KSL divisions to review KSL policies to ensure they remain current, relevant, and aligned with evolving statutory requirements.
  • Provide secretariat support to the KSL Board, managing the end‑to‑end flow of board‑level information and ensuring that strategic decisions are effectively translated into organisational action.
  • Strategic Planning
  • Translate complex data insights into high-level problem statements and actionable intelligence. You will move beyond diagnostic reporting to identify emerging trends and service gaps, framing the critical questions that define KSL's future direction and long-term viability.
  • Lead the annual workplanning exercise and harmonise the workplans to ensure that KSL moves as a single unit. You will synchronise departmental KPIs with KSL's overarching strategic roadmap, ensuring that operational efforts are conceptually aligned with our mission-critical outcomes.
  • Knowledge Management
  • Develop and implement a knowledge management framework to institutionalise organisational learning, ensuring that KSL's "institutional memory" is preserved and leveraged to drive continuous improvement as the organisation scales.
  • Competencies
  • A bachelor's degree, with minimally 8 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, corporate governance, or related functions is preferred. Prior experience in social services, non-profit organisations, public agencies, or community sectors is an advantage.
  • Strong background in designing and facilitating management retreats, workshops, or strategic planning processes.
  • Comfortable with data and adept at synthesising complex insights into high-level problem statements and actionable intelligence. You possess the "sense-making" ability to move beyond diagnostic reporting to inform KSL's future direction.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and Board members, and present complex concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Familiarity with the Singapore Companies Act, the Code of Governance for Charities and IPCs, and knowledge management frameworks is an advantage.
